Latvala revealed: Pain while changing tyre

Ford's Jari-Matti Latvala fought evenly with Sebastien Loeb for the victory in Greek Rally until mid-point of Saturday's leg.

Then a flat tire due to a driving error, followed by broken brakes dropped him to fourth place. He rose to third after Solberg drove out.

Saturday's error annoyed Latvala still on Sunday, when Loeb lost more than one and a half minutes because of flat tyre on third last stage of the race.

- Who knows how this race would have finished without Saturday's flat tyre, now that Loeb had a flat tyre today, Latvala vented his feelings.

- Even the podium finish in a return race is just fine, this was a disappointment after all. At least I should have won the power stage (bonus ss).

The injury did not bother driving

Loeb set off the top time 0.6 seconds ahead of Latvala at the bonus ss finishing the rally. It brought the French three championship points. Latvala got two.

- I think I did not make mistakes on the last stage, but Loeb was just faster, Latvala thought.

Latvala competed in Greece with titanium plate supporting in skiing accident fractured clavicle. However it does not slow down the pace.

- Pain felt only when changing the tyre, Latvala said.

Championship series will continue in 22 to 24. of June in New Zealand.

The MotorsTV coverage is SO bad.. the way that guy says Latvala is so annoying almost makes me want to watch with the sound off. Petition to bring back Paul King anyone?
